Not too long ago, my husband was reading on the couch, and I looked at him & said… “ugh, I wish I had time to read!”  And without hesitation, he looked back & said… “ You can find time, you just don’t.”  WOW – as expected, I was of course immediately irritated (haha, classic couple’s banter) … but after thinking it over, he was 100% right!

Think about it… how many times have you said “I don’t have time” about fitness, eating healthy, starting a new behavior change or journey?  We ALL do it, and I’m here to tell you why you should stop telling yourself that moving forward!

 

We all have the same amount of hours each day, but some PRIORITIZE & MANAGE their time WAYYYY better!  When you say “I don’t have time,” you are giving yourself an “out” for inaction.  Instead flip your frame of mind & say to yourself “I do have time, so HOW can I make it work?”

How powerful!  You are in control of your day & what you GET to choose to do.  Remember, we all have time, we just may spend it in the wrong way.  Make sure to prioritize the things you most want to get done each day so those things happen first.  Resist the urge to use up time doing things like scrolling through social media that can blow through a lot of precious time that you aren’t really enjoying!

 

How can you get better at this?  You must practice discipline.  When the WHY is powerful enough, the HOW will appear.  If the WANT is strong enough, the HOW will appear.  Focus on your MINDSET first & then work hard to prioritize your goals & actions.

So, the next time you catch yourself saying “I DON’T HAVE TIME,” take a step back & identify where your time is being spent, what you can adjust, & then keep moving forward!
