Welcome to my site! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) & Certified Dietitian Nutrition Coach. I graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness, & Health. I completed my Dietetic Internship at Ingalls Memorial Hospital. After passing my registration exam to become an RDN, I worked for 4 years with a corporate wellness company outside of Chicago. In early 2018, I decided to open my own nutrition practice to focus more on individualized nutrition coaching in a virtual setting. I enjoy working with busy moms who are looking to achieve a healthy weight & keep it off without restrictions by focusing on sustainable & enjoyable nutrition habits for themselves & their family.
Outside of my love for all things food & nutrition, I also have a huge passion for teaching group exercise classes and helping people reach their fitness goals. I am a NASM Personal Trainer and ACE Group Fitness Instructor. I enjoy teaching indoor cycling & WERQ dance fitness classes in Northwest Indiana.
In my free time, I like trying new recipes, reading, soaking up the sun (when the Saint John, Indiana weather allows), hosting game nights, & spending time with family. I’ve been lucky to travel, laugh, and do life with my high school sweetheart, turned husband Joe since 2006. We have been blessed with beautiful twin girls Avery & Zoe and are loving every minute with them!
MY FOOD PHILOSOPHY:
I don’t believe in restrictions… instead, I believe in finding the best time and place to embrace all your favorite foods. I find choosing more whole foods (especially fruits and vegetables) and less processed foods (think packaged or boxed items) is a great way to easily start building a more nutritious plan. Remember quality over quantity… you don’t need to worry about calorie-counting every day of your life to stay healthy! Instead, focus on selecting foods composed of healthy ingredients (read that ingredients label…less is more!) and wholesome nutrients (think lean protein, quality carbs, healthy fats, and fiber!) throughout the day for a balanced and quality-driven diet. It is my passion to educate people on how to build a healthier lifestyle with flavorful and nutritious food that is easy to prepare and incorporate into their own routine.
